I am Professor of Education at Bath Spa University. My work is in Educational Anthropology, and its research focus concerns minority, marginalised and disadvantaged groups. I conduct ethnographic research, working alongside community members to find new understandings, and where appropriate, to seek to achieve change that will benefit communities. I am PI (Principal Investigator) of the D4D project, responsible for liaison across workstreams and co-ordinating academic output. I am also leading the Now You See Us workstream.

I am working closely with Co-Investigators Susan Moffat (New Vic Theatre, Stoke) and Lucy Burke (Manchester Metropolitan University). We will be collaborating with schools, youth groups and community partners.
