I am leading the Playful Bodies, Technology and Community work stream. Key collaborators include D4D team members including Esther Fox and Disability Arts Online as well as historians, players and game designers.

I am a Reader in Media and Cultural Studies at the Institute of Education at UCL, University of London. My research specialisms are video games and screen studies.

I have led funded research on representations of disability and ability in video games, games and gender, online games and learning, and game methodology. I am deaf and live in London with my partner and daughter. More information about my work can be found at https://playhouse.wordpress.com/
